On This Month's Fear Candy
Here are fifteen tracks of extreme metal goodness to help you get over the fact that summer is over.
CD compiled by Miranda Yardley
Artwork by Ken Coleman (www.artofkencoleman.com)

1. ELECTRIC WIZARD
'SadioWitch' taken from the Spinefarm album 'Time To Die'

It's time to dim the lights and light the incense as we begin the month's Fear Candy with this slow, dirty down-tuned taster of the new album from our reassuringly heavy cover stars Electric Wizard.

2. DECAPITATED
'The Blasphemous Psalm To The Dummy God Creation' taken from the Nuclear Blast album 'Blood Mantra'

Although Poland's Decapitated have been around for coming up to 20 years, each new record produces surprises and raises the quality bar higher each time and this track from their sixth full-length album 'Blood Mantra' is no exception.

3. THE WOLVES OF AVALON
'Bonded By Blood And Sword' taken from the Godreah album 'Boudicca's Last Stand'

Featuring Meads of Asphodel's Metatron and Drudkh's Thurios, this track from The Wolves' rousing tribute to Britain's warrior queen finishes on a guitar solo that Huw Lloyd Langton would be proud of.

4. ALBEZ DUZ
'The Coming Of Mictlan' taken from the Iron Bonehead Productions album 'The Coming Of Mictlan'

Albez Duz's Type-O Negative friendly music is authentically terrifying, enjoy this 8 minute slab of gothic doom all the way from Berlin.

5. NORTHERN OAK
'Nerthus' taken from the self-released album 'Of Roots And Flesh'

If you like your folk metal to be progressive and tinged with flute, you'll love this track from this grim Sheffield six-piece's crowd-funded third album 'Of Roots And Flesh'.

6. SOLACE OF REQUIEM
'Soiling The Fields Of Putridity' taken from the ViciSolum Productions album 'Casting Ruin'

This intricately composed piece of technical blackened death metal starts with a hiss of static and accelerates into an orchestration of dark brutality.

7. BLEED AGAIN
'Surrender, No.' taken from the self-released EP 'Surrender, No.'

From the seaside town of Lancing in West Sussex, Bleed Again have an album and a couple of EPs behind them, and show no signs of slowing down just yet.

8. CLAW
'Out Of The Vault' taken from the Czar of Crickets Productions album 'Claw'

Combining thrashy riffs and a cheerfully cocky rock 'n' roll swagger, these Swiss metallers know how to blend heavy riffs and catchy melodies.

9. NO SIND EVADES HIS GAZE
'Filth' taken from the self-released album 'Age Of Sedation'

With technical yet heavy riffs twisting snake-like around both growling and melodic vocals, this track from the band's debut album shows No Sin Evades His Gaze mean business.

10. DAARCHLEA
'The Great Extinction' taken from the self-released album 'Sun'

All the way from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this track from Daarchlea shows the band at their symphonic yet uncompromisingly heavy best, mixing black and death metal.

11. RAGWEED
'George Moshington' taken from the self-released album 'Parerga'

Brighton three-piece Ragweed infuse their catchy sludge-punk with a wickedly flirtatious sense of humour.

12. HOLE IN THE SKY
'Phantom Limb' taken from the self-released EP 'Phantom Limb'

Another of this month's bands from Brighton, technical death metallers Hole In The Sky are fueled on that holy trinity of whisky, beer and pizza.

13. KICKFIST
'Sculptor To The Clay' taken from the FlipTheBird Records EP 'The Violent InSanity'

Kickfist have a simple motto: no bullshit, no compromise. 'Sculptor To The Clay' starts meekly, lulling you into a false sense of security.
www.Facebook.com/KickFist

14. WITCHCLAN
'Treading On Angels' taken from the Elvester Records album 'The Dark Binding'

Another bunch of British south coasters, Witchclan produce what they call 'bestial hell metal', we think you'll agree this is as necro as fuck.
www.Facebook.com/Witchclan666

15. PREACHER
'Counterfeit Penitence' taken from the self-released album 'Counterfeit Penitence'

Welsh metallers Preacher released their debut album 'Counterfeit Penitence' last year. The band have a huge mix of influences inside and out of metal, which you'll hear in this foot-tappingly catchy track off that album.

Somit gibt es also häufig angebliche Treffer.
