On This Month's Fear Candy
Spring is in the air. Warmth and optimism is on the breeze.
Use these tunes to destroy such foolishness.

CD compiled by Miranda Yardley & Amy Harris
Artwork by Ken Coleman

1. KILLER BE KILLED
'Face Down' taken from the Nuclear Blast album 'Killer Be Killed'

What do you get when you cross Max Cavalera, Mastodon's Troy Sanders, The Dillinger Escape Plan's Greg Puciato
and The Mars Volta's Dave Elitch? Whack this CD in your stereo and find out…

2. SABATON
'To Hell And Back' taken from the Nuclear Blast album 'Heroes'

Swedish power metal maniacs Sabaton are back with a vengeance, and it will shock you to hear they're singing about war again.
Next thing we'll be telling you the chorus is huge too.
www.Facebook.com/Sabaton

3. PRONG
'Chamber Of Thought' taken from the Steamhammer album 'Ruining Lives'

Since reforming Prong in 2002, Tommy Victor has already put out three albums, and now he's at it again.
This should warm you up nicely with Bloodstock only a couple of months away.

4. BORIS THE BLADE
'Mortal Procession' taken from the Siege Of Amida album 'The Human Hive'

Named after the arms dealer in Guy Ritchie's 'Snatch' and packing almost as much fire power,
these Australian death merchants certainly know their way around tight, punishing grooves.

5. DIVINE CHAOS
'Fields Of The Fallen' taken from the Evil Eye album 'A New Dawn In The Age Of War'

Finally putting Slough on the metal map, this quartet have taken their time with their debut album after their 2007 EP
'Every Empire Shall Fall', but from the sound of this thrashy little rager, it was worth it.

6. INSENSE
'Sick Is The Will' taken from the Mas-Kina/Indie album 'De:Evolution'

Norway may be more well known for its corpse paint and blastbeats, but Insense's slick, melodic sound proves
there's more to the country than just black metal. But after reading our Secret History Of Norway, you knew that, right?

7. MONGREL
'Over And Over' taken from the Unable EP 'Evolution'

Bolstered by the soaring vocals of front woman Jessica Sierra, these Boston based rockers are coming for you with hooks in hand.

8. SPITBACK
'Inside' taken from the FM album 'SpitBack'

Mixing hardcore with nu metal doesn't sound like the most appealing idea ever, but that's exactly what this Greek quartet has done.
Does it work? We'll let you decide for yourselves.

9. WILDNORTHE
'Wildnorthe' taken from the self-released EP 'Wildnorthe'

Mining an eerie, Gothic vibe, this Portuguese duo have thrown convention to the wind and set off down their own dark,
disorientating path, making full use of Sara Inglês' ethereal vocals.
www.Facebook.com/Wildnorthe

10. WILD CHILD
'Mo.Fo.' taken from the self-released album 'Wild Child'

They may have started life as an Ozzy tribute band, but there's more to this Italian troupe than meets the ear,
as this hard rockin' little number proves.

11. LEFUTRAY
'Silent Inferno' taken from the Sickbangers/Digmetalworld single 'Silent Inferno'

Hailing from Chile, this quintet specialize in the kind of groovy, thrashy madness that would do Max Cavalera proud.

12. SLEEPLESS
'Sentiments' taken from the self-released EP 'Exterminate/Existence'

Hungarian metalcore outfit Sleepless' style has evolved a fair amount in their short tenure as a band,
resulting in the crisp, melodic approach you'll hear on this song.
www.Facebook.com/SleeplessHorde

13. PARANORM
'Desolate Worlds' taken from the self-released album 'The Edge Of Existence'

These Uppsala-based thrash juggernauts have quite an epic vision indeed,
lending their classically inclined thrash assault a distinctive progressive edge.
www.Facebook.com/ParanormBand

14. GRIM COMET
'Virgins Of Madness' taken from the self-released album 'Pray For The Victims'

Ever wondered what early Metallica would sound like if they'd been just a bit doomier?
Well, wonder no more, as Spanish trio Grim Comet have got the answer.

15. SEA BASTARD
'Nokken' taken from the Black Reaper/Dry Cough/Mosh Tunage album 'Scabrous'

Following on from their crushing 2012 debut, the follow-up album from these Brighton riff enthusiasts
is every bit as sludgy and soul destroying as you could hope for.

Somit gibt es also häufig angebliche Treffer.
