On This Month's Fear Candy
Here's this month's selection of tunes to ruin your ear drums, your face and possibly your life
CD compiled by Miranda Yardley & Amy Harris
Artwork by Johan de Jager (www.DarkDimensionArt.com)

1. CONAN
'Foehammer' taken from the Napalm album 'Blood Eagle'

The mighty Liverpudlian doomsters smoke and rasp their way through this track from their heavy-as-almighty-Satan second full-length.
Prepare to be knocked out with murky riffs and suffocating rhythms.
www.Facebook.com/ConanDoom

2. SAVAGE MESSIAH
'Hellblazer' taken from the Earache album 'The Fateful Dark'

Dave Silver and the gang are back with this evolutionary cracker.
It's got all the hallmarks of classic thrash, but this is no revivalist shtick, this is proper metal for the 21st century.
www.Facebook.com/SavageMessiahMetal

3. ACHERON
'Raptured To Divine Perversion' taken from the Listenable album 'Kult Des Hasses'

The Pittsburgh veterans return from beyond once again to lay down a savage slab of blackened death.
Vincent Crowley demonstrates exactly why he's still got it, and that he's got the right men around him.

4. AMPUTATED
'The Local Flavour' taken from the Sevared album 'Dissect, Molest, Ingest'

If brutality is what you're after, this new snippet from Bristol's hellraising quintet won't disappoint.
This is a death metal experience that can only be described as "visceral".
www.Facebook.com/Amputated

5. NERVOSA
'Into Mosh Pit' taken from the Napalm album 'Victim Of Yourself'

Raucous thrash from an unholy trinity of Brazilian ladies,
their long-in-the-brewing debut follows lovingly in the footsteps of the Teutonic greats, but with a distinctively South American twist.
www.Facebook.com/FemaleThrash

6. KLOGR
'Draw Closer' taken from the Zetafactory album 'Black Snow'

The lovechild of Deftones, NIN and Maynard James Keenan is where this track from these Italian genre-straddlers is at.
An alternative hybrid that draws from its roots with integrity and innovation.
www.Klogr.net

7. HATRIOT
'Your Worst Enemy' taken from the Massacre album 'Dawn Of The New Centurion'

Former Exodus and Legacy bigwig Steve "Zetro" Souza batters his way through your lugholes with this track from his new band's second album in successive years. Bay Area thrash lives and breathes after more than thirty years of kicking arse.

8. SOUL THROWER
'Man Of Nothing' taken from the Heliaed album 'The Beginning Of Dark Nights'

Contagious and well-crafted alternative rock with inflections of grunge and bad intentions.
Groove and gravity are a winning combination for this Estonian quintet.

9. FROZEN OCEAN
'The Dyson Swarm' taken from the Kristallblut album 'The Dyson Swarm'

A Moscow-born polymath invades ambient territories with a twist of doom in this enigmatic number.
Mellow and atmospheric; give it a whirl with a beanbag and a bottle of Jack.
Frozen-Ocean.net

10. OMV
'Shotgun' taken from the self-released album 'Loyalty And Honour'

With a name that stands for "One More Victim", OMV are like the soundtrack to pushing a lion into a shoebox.
Liverpudlian rage channelled through hardcore, death and a pinch of groove.
www.Facebook.com/OmvMetalBand

11. DEATH OF THE SUN
'Rise' taken from the Homefires album 'All Out War'

A melting pot of thrashy, blackened, deathy goodness from this Yorkshire threesome. A promising indication of things to come.
www.Facebook.com/DeathOfTheSunOfficial

12. BLOTUM
'My Final Cry' taken from the self-released EP 'Eternal Despondency'

The sombre five-piece stir deep waters in this eight-and-a-half-minute epic.
Rich, complex and crushing, it perfectly indicates the quality of their first demo.
www.Blotum.com

13. LINE OF FIRE
'What Will You Say Tomorrow' taken from the Ron Cobra EP 'Nowhere To Go'

Derby's answer to Down fashion a sonic brawl from meaty riffs and bluesy sentiments.
Check them out to see why both Bloodstock and Hammerfest have gone wild for the quartet.
www.Facebook.com/LineOfFire666

14. MY SHAMEFUL
'Survive Through Tomorrow' taken from the self-released album 'Penance'

Let's talk morose, life-draining nihilism. This self-proclaimed "multinational machine of hate and doom" drown you in beautiful sobriety.
www.MyShameful.com

15. UNDERSIDE
'Pride' taken from the self-released album 'Welcome To The Underside'

In 2010, five of Kathmandu's most belligerent chaps got together to unleash aural anarchy.
Come one, come all: take your angst in hand and join the fray.
www.Facebook.com/TheUnderside

16. ROARBACK
'Manor Of Hatred' taken from the Mighty Music album 'Echoes Of Pain'

This Danish powerhouse tick all the boxes for capturing the golden age of death.
Warning: likely to induce unflattering facial grimaces due to infectious ferocity.

Somit gibt es also häufig angebliche Treffer.
