On This Month's Fear Candy
Are You Feeling Cheerful? Is Your Soul Shiny And Bright? You Need The Abject Filth Of This Month's Fear Candy!
CD compiled by Miranda Yardley
Artwork by Johan de Jager

1. SEPULTURA
'The Age Of The Atheist' taken from the Nuclear Blast album 'The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart'
Their newest album takes inspiration from Fritz Lang's 'Metropolis' and blends it with their unique tribal fury.
Sepultura once again cement themselves amongst the top tier of thrashers.

2. KATALKYSM
'Kill The Elite' taken from the Nuclear Blast album 'Waiting For The End To Come'
Now on their eleventh full-length release, Kataklysm prove that even with their attention divided
by Maurizio Iacono's Roman metal project Ex Deo, their rage has not waned with time.

3. TOXIC HOLOCAUST
'Rat Eater' taken from the Relapse album 'Chemistry Of Consciousness'
Joel Grind is back to dish out another signature helping of punk attitude fused with crunching thrash metal.
Tight, punchy and spoiling for a fight, 'Rat Eater' is a bundle of anger ready to explode.

4. DEF CON ONE
'Brute Force And Ignorance' taken from the Night Of The Vinyl Dead EP 'Brute Force And Ignorance'
Groove metallers Def Con One are back with their first release since the 2012 album 'Warface'.
Anyone whose attention was starting to drift will be sharply slapped back to reality by these Geordies
as they deliver another slab of hefty aggression.

5. VALFADER
'Green Sleeps' taken from the self-released EP 'Whispers Of Chaos'
UK-based Valfader might slow down the pace a bit, but their huge wall of stoner sound is impossible to miss.
Sludge, groove and a tinge of psychedelia - there's a whole raft of ideas going on here.

6. HELHORSE
'The Carnal Rage' taken from the Mighty Music/Target album 'Oh Death'
Prepare yourself for exciting, energetic riffs and head-banging grooves as Helhorse gallop back into town.
Their thick, sludgy guitar tones and Southern rock style is designed for crowd-pleasing.

7. THE VOLDERA CULT
'Curse Of Judah' taken from the self-released album 'Goliath'
The Voldera Cult's concept album 'Goliath' tells the biblical story from the giant's point of view.
It's heavy enough to just step on David and put an end to all that slingshot rubbish.

8. BLOODYARD
'Blistered' taken from the self-released EP 'Set To Fall'
Though relatively new to the death metal scene, Bloodyard are eager to make a bloody mark with their debut EP,
and 'Blistered' provides a rancid taste of brutality.

9. FOETAL JUICE
'Brewkakke' taken from the Grindscene EP 'Big Trouble In Little Vagina'
Gore-fiends Foetal Juice are yet to release an album, but have gained a significant underground following
with their classic death metal sound. Expect carnage, mayhem and absolutely no good taste from their new EP.

10. CULT OF FIRE
'मृत्यु का वीभत्स नृत्य' taken from the Iron Bonehead/Necroshine album 'मृत्यु का तापसी अनुध्यान'
Black metal outfit Cult Of Fire are on the verge of releasing their new album, wich they've chosen to title in Hindi.
Don't be put off if you can't read the name - the blistering music speaks for itself.

11. MOUTHS OF SULPHUR
'The Conquest Of Mankind' taken from the High Stakes EP 'Decimation'
On a mission to conquer (or possibly decimate) all, Mouths Of Sulphur refuse to hold back in the slightest,
resulting in a track that sounds like a nuclear war.

12. KILL ALL THE GENTLEMEN
'Midnight In Eden' taken from the self-released album 'Kill All The Gentlemen'
Critically praised under the moniker Vanadium, this group have now renamed themselves, owing to a pre-existing Italian band sharing the alias, and a desire to alter their image. This track suggests that they've lost none of the momentum they built up under their old name.

13. NIHILISM INCARNATE
'Dark Matter' taken from the Abyssus EP 'Deconstruct The Aeons'
Nihilism Incarnate are keen to impress with their debut EP. 'Dark Matter' is dynamic, melancholic, and at times, ruthlessly brutal.

14. SLAVE MACHINE
'Relevant' taken from the Doweet album 'Disconnected'
Parisian industrial metallers Slave Machine daub their extreme riffing with a hint of electronica, designed to get heads banging in seconds.

15. DIE KUR
'It Must Be (Destroyed)' taken from the NMTCG EP 'Manifesto'
London-based electro-industrialists Die Kur pair up aggressive guitar riffs with electronic pulsations to create a truly oppressive atmosphere. Dark stuff.

16. DEATH VALLEY SCARS
'No Suffering' taken from the NMTCG album 'Suicide, Sex And Suffering'
The harsh electronics and rasped vocals will ensure that your eardrums are thoroughly sandpapered
by the end of Death Valley Scars' industrial contribution.

Somit gibt es also häufig angebliche Treffer.
