1. TESTAMENT 'Rise Up' - taken from the Nuclear Blast live album 'Dark Roots Of Thrash'
Recorded live at their Paramount show in Huntington, NY, this serves as yet another reminder
of why Testament are one of thrash metal's most revered and loved bands.

2. PARADISE LOST 'Gothic 2013' - taken from the Century Media album 'Tragic Illusion 25 (The Rarities)'
A re-recording of one of the band's most iconic songs, 'Gothic 2013' retains the vibe of the original
but with a more polished production. A must-listen for fans of the doom metal leaders.

3. PRIMITAI 'Fortune Favours The Brave' - taken from the Green China album 'Rise Again'
Keeping metal's traditions fresh, quintet Primitai may be young, but that doesn't mean they can't join the party.
Fans of Judas Priest and Iced Earth, step this way.

4. ASOMVEL 'Shoot Ya Down' - taken from the Bad Omen album 'Knuckle Duster'
Their first album without deceased singer/bassist Jay-Jay Winter, this 'Knuckle Duster' taster sees the band back in full angry,
Motörhead mode - an approach any fans of Lemmy and co. will surely enjoy.

5. OCEANO 'Severed Appendages' - taken from the Earache album 'Incisions'
Active since 2006, Chicago's Oceano play their death with some tasty breakdowns.
They're angry, they're vicious and they want the whole world to know just how pissed off they are.

6. BEATEN TO DEATH 'Vulpes Vulpes, Mustela Lutreola, Praedium' - taken from the Mas-Kina album 'Dødsfest!'
Formed in their native Norway in 2010, Beaten To Death's second offering is nothing short of batshit awesome (and bonkers),
as this offering of grindcore displays nicely.

7. RED FANG 'No Hope' - taken from the Relapse album 'Whales and Leeches'
You may remember these Yankee chaps from their notorious music videos (if not, YouTube).
But this slice of groovy sludge should make you remember them for their riffs.

8. DEATH ANGEL 'The Dream Calls For Blood' - taken from the Nuclear Blast album 'The Dream Calls For Blood'
This title track from thrash metal veterans Death Angel sees them back on blistering form and ready to take on your ears once again.
Be prepared for a rapid ride.

9. ARNOCORPS 'Hercules' - taken from the Exactly EP 'The Fantastic'
They may be a bunch of Arnold Schwarzenegger-loving mentalists,
but ArnoCorps' mix of punk style and heavy metal riffs has rightly attracted a wealth of fans,
and they didn't even need an insane body count to do it.

10. HEAD CLEANER 'Long Time Dead' - taken from the United Guttural album 'Of Worms And Men'
Coming in at just under two minutes,
this short blast of death-cum-grindcore-cum-crust has just a hint of melody with a fuckload of aggression.

11. STONEGHOST 'Raynardine' - taken from the self-released album 'New Age of Old Ways'
London four-piece Stoneghost successfully combine facets of hard rock and heavy metal
on this groove-laden, snarling monster of a track, which should please fans of both genres.

12. THE BROWNING 'Gravedigger' - taken from the Earache album 'Hypernova'
The Kansas four-piece never to fail to divide opinions with their fusion of the deathy stuff and widdly electronics.
This one's pretty much guaranteed to get you off the fence one way or another.
