02 KOYO - Jouska A spacious and reflective song, with Jouska Leeds quintet KOYO don't allow their well-schooled musicality to sweep them away into self-indulgent realms. A beautiful charm presides through their emotive melancholia. This is a band with a bright future.

03 KYLVER - The Great Race Swathing Hammond organs tangle with cascading guitar work and ethereal toneshere. Without a vocalist, Kylver are able to project ever-changing mini movies inside your head as the track plays out. It's pure prog theatre.

06 ORSOME WELLES - Father's Eyes There is more than a dash of Karnivool to Orsome Welles' abrasive, swinging riffs but, poised too with frontman Michael Stowers' towering and melodically charged falsetto, there is plenty of colour in this Australian band's fire.

07 JAMES NORBERT lVANYl - Pray Darkly Australian multi-instrumentalist Ivanyi welds an array of prog metal influences together to form a sound akin to Watershed-era Opeth playing djent with Jordan Rudess on keys. It's heavy, intense and masterfully crafted. Spellbinding stuff.

08 GAUDI - Modular Rondo London based producer and musician Gaudi has spent his 35 year long career smashing genre boundaries. On Modular Radio he crossbreeds rock and jazz with prog and electronic elements with cohesive yet eyebrow raising results.
