With musical collaborations from Dec Burke, Karl Groom and John Young (to name but a few), the new release from ex-Galahad bassist Lee Abraham was always going to be a corker. The result is an intellectual feast for the ears.

Porcupine Tree guitarist John Wesley has an impressive CV under his belt, lending his intricate playing to Sound Of Contact and Fish, among others. Disconnect is the sort of melodic marvel that you would expect from a man who shares the stage with Mr Wilson.

Members may come and go, but the quality of Crippled Black Phoenix's output has grown since their 2004 inception. This picks up from where the Prog-approved (Mankind) The Crafty Ape left off, proving that CBP are at the top of their game.

Their mix of psychedelia, rock, prog and jazz makes Motorpsycho an eclectic bunch indeed. It's fair to say there's no-one out there quite like them, and Behind The Sun takes these Norwegian rockers to a new plateau of individuality.
