04 LIFE IN DIGITAL - Karma Taking its cues from 80s new wave and Phil Collins, Karma lures hook-laden synth music down delightfully progressive paths. Catchy and curiously concocted, its melodies are illuminated with a nostalgic tang that also manages to feel contemporary.

05 STEVE PILANT - Thrown Away (feat. Tracy Hollingsworth, Michael Smith & Mark Poole) From Interceptor, which hails itself as an honorary throwback to the audacious prog rock concepts album of yesteryear, there are a lot of superlatives to live up to here. Yet they make light work of that, rolling with bombast and whizzing harmonies aplenty. ELO live on.

06 CHRIS OPPERMAN - Are We Living In A Computer Simulation? On Chamber Music From Hell, the Opperman performs with Mike Keneally and, on the lead track, merges jazz with chamber music orchestrations and rock’n’roll guitars in a way that feels natural.
