18.: hotstovecoolmusic.org/story September 2003:
HSCM III was an even bigger success on all fronts. Kay Hanley and Bill Janovitz returned (playing even more prominent organizational roles), while Boston's most energetic rockers, The Gentlemen, joined in, along with local-boys-made-good, American Hi-Fi. DJ Carbo helped fill the void between acts and the show sold-out in advance of the doors opening for the first time. Kay, who'd delivered a baby boy three weeks earlier (a future home run king, Henry Aaron Eisenstein), opened the evening with an acoustic set and Bill followed with his side project, Crown Victoria, but it was the next two acts that caused the national buzz. Gammons, who played in bands back in high school and college (The Fabulous Penetrations), joined up with Janovitz, USA Mike Eisenstein and The Gentlemen, and brought down the house with a couple of Chuck Berry covers.

Billboard - January 2004:
"
Pearl Jam, Westerberg Fuel 'Hot Stove'
Pearl Jam, Paul Westerberg, Dropkick Murphys, Letters To Cleo's Kay Hanley, American Hi-Fi and the Allman Brothers Band are among the artists who have donated tracks to "Hot Stove, Cool Music," a compilation due Jan. 20 via Fenway Recordings. ESPN baseball reporter Peter Gammons will host an affiliated concert on Jan. 11 at Boston's Paradise, featuring Hanley and Buffalo Tom's Bill Janovitz, among others.

Proceeds from the album and show will benefit the Jimmy Fund, which supports cancer research at Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The album sports a live version of Pearl Jam's "Bu$hleaguer" from the group's April 1 Riot Act tour opener in Denver, Westerberg's previously unreleased "Outta My System" and Hanley guesting with the Dropkick Murphys on the latter's "The Dirty Glass." The Hot Stove All Stars, featuring Janovitz, Peter Wolf, Mighty Mighty Bosstones frontman Dicky Barrett and members of the Boston Red Sox, turn in a cover of Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll (Part 2)."

A musician in his spare time, Gammons contributes the song "Carol" to the CD, as well as a cover of "Summertime Blues" with the band the Fabulous Penetrations. He will perform with the Hot Stove All Stars at the Jan. 20 benefit, as will Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein. Tickets for the event can be purchased via Next Ticketing or by calling 617-423-6000.

Somit gibt es also häufig angebliche Treffer.
