Over an hour of the hottest prog sounds around today, hand-picked for you with Prog's warmest compliments. Enjoy ...

01 SOUND OF CONTACT - Pale Blue Dot After a decade as a solo artist, Simon Collins (his dad's name is Phil... you may be familiar with his work!) has formed a band and set forth into the great prog beyond. Their debut album is an extraordinary journey full of artful and sublime songs like this one.

02 WISDOM OF CROWDS - Frozen North As frontmen with The Pineapple Thief and Katatonia respectively, this pair have pedigree. As Soord's exquisite songwriting collides with Reske's unmistakable voice, hearts will break, grown men will weep.

03 THE TIRITH - The Daughter Of The Water Originally formed in 1971 as Minas Tirith, The Tirith are both hardy veterans and cult heroes of the UK prog scene. Reactivated in 2010, a new EP of blues-tinged prog wonderment in January proved that their creative flame still burns brightly.
Taken from: The Daughter Of The Water, self-released

04 DAYS BETWEEN STATIONS - Eggshell Man With musical imaginations plugged into the interstellar mainframe, Oscar Fuentes Bills and Sepand Semanzeh are 21st-century prog missionaries. With a keyboard solo courtesy of Rick Wakeman, this track proves that the duo's message hits home with immense style and power.
Taken from: In Extremis, self-released

05 LUNA ROSSA - Gasp A new acoustic project from Panic Room members Anne-Marie Helder and Jonathan Edwards, Luna Rossa showcase a more intimate and elegant sound than their sonic alma mater. Haunting and sensual, Gasp will have you hooked.
Taken from: Sleeping Pills & Lullybies on Firefly Music

06 NOSOUND - I Miss The Ground Giancarlo Erra's art-rock ensemble have been steadily gaining momentum in recent times and new album Afterthoughts looks certain to hasten that process. With ex-P-Tree drummer Chris Maitland on board, the band have created their most mesmerising musical voyage yet.

07 FRANCK CARDUCCI - Alice's Eerie Dream Inspired by a chance to support hero Steve Hackett, prodigious multi-tasker and composer Carducci devoted himself to creating his own wondrous world on his debut solo album, Oddity. With nods to English lit and Greek myths, this is the sound of childhood fantasies made real.
Taken from: Oddity on CD Baby

08 THE GRAND ASTORIA - Space Orchid Vs Massive Drumkit St Petersburg psychers TGA formed in 2009 and already have three albums and 300 shows across Europe to their name. This track buzzes with fuzzed-out trip-rock gospel, replete with sitar and metallophone.
Taken from: Punkadelia Supreme, self-released

09 VESPERO - Red Machine Further proof that the Russian prog scene is in rude health, this five-piece from Astrakhan are breathing new life into the art of cosmic and avant-garde rock exploration. Taken from Fruits de Mer's new Strange Fish sampler series, this track promises to blow minds and kick out the acid jams.

10 J. CRIST - Thank You With over 30 albums to his credit, lifelong musician J Crist is clearly a workaholic. What is even more laudable is his ability to assimilate countless disparate genres, albeit with vivid prog shades often taking centre stage. This recent creation provides an intriguing glimpse into Crist's limitless sonic world.

Somit gibt es also häufig angebliche Treffer.
