Glory Days on Apocalypse Sound contains the entire BBC documentary produced in the late eighties. As it says on the liner notes: This documentary was produced by BBC and first broadcasted in 1987 to promote the release of Live 1975/1985 box. It features a long interview with Bruce himself as long as with other members of the E Street Band. The 90-minute documentary covers a wide range of topics not only concerning music and records and shows a personal side of the artist never seen before. But what makes this really special though is the quality of the archive material which is included and then: you'll see a bunch of songs coming from 1985 LA shows as long as some spare footage from 1975 and 1978. This is presented on NTSC region 0 compatible with all DVD players. The sound quality is uniformly excellent with the label utilizing a dolby digital stereo mix. T haven't been too many releases of this interesting documentary and the quality of this footage is superb.

It begins with the origins of Springsteen's career and runs through to the release of the box set. There are copious interviews with Springsteen himself as well as various members of the band throughout the years. Interspersed with the interviews are great live clips ranging from 1975 to the Born In The U.S.A . tour in 1985 with several shots from the Los Angeles show. There are three bonus tracks with the first being a complete Thunder Road from the LA show on October 2, 1985. Included also are two takes of the alternate video shoot for Dancing In The Dark which features Bruce alone in the studio in black pants, suspenders and bandana dancing to the song while lip syncing the words. It's a dumb looking video and it is obvious why they chose the liver performance version instead.
