Acryl Box Set 2.0
limited to 350Boxes
- 4 vinyl records (10“ format) containing the vocal and instrumental album: 108 minutes of new music!
- 1 DVD (a 54 minutes movie by Craig Murray and a 5:1 dolby surround mix of the album; DD and DTS)
- 2 separate gatefolds with inlay sheet
The first edition of the "Pelagial" acrylic box sets sold out by preorder within just 9 days, and currently gets traded on Discogs for up to 400 € per piece… Since a lot of people have been asking about these boxes, we decided to release a 2nd edition, rather than having resellers cash in on our work and creativity.
What has also fueled the desire to run a 2nd edition, is what you could call "perfectionism". We carry this burden, here at Pelagic… the first edition was a truly experimental packaging project, and naturally this means that there were some mistakes, or let's say, some things were not ideal. All of these issues have now been resolved: the outer material is slightly thicker, making the outer cases less prone to get damaged. Also, the boxes and the acrylic rails inside, on which the acrylic layers rest, are slightly higher, so that the layers no longer press down on the gatefolds inside the boxes. We have also made sure that the protective paper gets peeled off from one side by the manufacturing company, so that we won't have to spend weeks in the warehouse again, peeling until our finger nails bleed...
To keep the exclusiveness of the first edition for those people who were fast enough to order it, these new box sets will come with different (but related) print designs on the layers. We will give you updates over the next few weeks. The vinyl color is different too: the 2nd edition comes on beautiful 3-colour-split wax, each vinyl with a different oceanic color combination. There are 350 copies made.
These box sets also come with the "Pelagial" DVD, directed by Craig Murray!
