Q: Uncredited intros, outros & interludes on compilations?

I have a few compilation LPs I wanna add, some with intros and outros that aren't really made by any particular band or artist, as well as one compilation with some instrumental interludes made by what looks like studio musicians. What do I write in the "Künstler/Bandname"-field for stuff like this??

We have a "blank" artist which can be used for this kind of tracks. -> artist id 22711

Great, danke! So what do I write in the artist-field? "22711"? "blank"? "unbekannt"? Or do I just just leave it blank?

enter 22711 into the artist field and this creates a blank entry. If you leave it blank it will create a new "blank" artist.

"unbekannt" would be artist 13672. There is no general rule which id is to be used when but generally the "blank" artist is used for instrumental "filler" stuff whereas "unbekannt" is used for songs and sounds where the artist is simply not known

Thanx. Seems the very intriguing artist "22711" is the way to go..

Kinda makes you wonder, Who will be the first die-hard completist "22711"-collector out there? wink

What did I do wrong?

You did nothing wrong smile
The problem is, that you cannot enter the artist ID into the artist field. Leaving this field blank creates a bug at the moment, so the easiest way to go is possibly to choose any other artist and changing the artist ID after the entry manually smile
